We are pleased to welcome you to the 2014 ICMV Milano conferecne, which took place at Novotel Milano Nord Granda Novotel Hotel from November 19-21, 2014. This year, the conference got 137 submissions. After two rounds of double blind reviewing process, only 82 papers were accepted and published in SPIE conference proceedings in vol. 9445. Acceptance rate 59.85%. And more than 98 experts. professors, etc attended the conference and shared the latest researches in Machine Vision.
Special thanks are extended to our colleagues in program committee for their thorough review of all the submissions, which is vital to the success of the conference, and also to the members in the organizing committee and the volunteers who had delicated their time and efforts in planning, promoting, organizing and helping the conference.

The conference program was highlighed by three keynote speakers:
Prof. Antanas Verikas from Halmstad University, Sweden with speech
title “Mining data with Random Forests: Adaptive models for
prediction and data
exploration”, Prof. Branislav Vuksanovic, University of
Portsmouth from United Kingdom with speech title “Multivariate Data
Analysis – PCA, ICA and All That Stuff”, and Prof. Petia Radeva from
University of Barcelona, Spain with speech title “Mining data with
Random Forests: Adaptive models for prediction and data
exploration”. Speacial thanks goes to invited keynote speakers as
well as all the authors for contributing their latest research to
the conference.
Winners of Best Oral Presentation of each session
One best presentation will be selected from each session, evaluated from: Originality; Applicability; Technical Merit; PPT; English. The best one will be announced at the end of each Session, and awarded the certificate over the Dinner.
