About The 18th ICMV 2025,  Paris, France 

From October 19 to 22, 2025, the 18th International Conference on Machine Vision (ICMV 2025) was successfully held in Paris, France. The conference was jointly organized by renowned institutions—including the University of Stuttgart, the University of Barcelona, ​​and the Federal Research Center "Computer Science and Control" of the Russian Academy of Sciences—and received academic support from institutions such as Aberystwyth University, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and the University of Sfax. Nearly 160 participants from nearly 30 countries—including France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Russia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Greece, Hungary, Qatar, Tunisia, Turkey, Estonia, Belgium, Mexico, Romania, India, and the United Arab Emirates—attended the conference.

The topics are including Computer Vision and Image Analysis, Image-Based Intelligent Detection Technology and Application, Image Segmentation and Intelligent Recognition, Digital Image Detection, Analysis and Calculation, Smart Solutions to Prevent Food Waste, Adversarial Machine Learning in Vision, Speech, and Text, Computer Vision and Image Analysis. Accepted, registered and presented papers have been published SPIE, which will be included in SPIE Digital Library.

On the afternoon of November 19, the conference officially commenced. Conference Chair Professor Wolfgang Osten of the University of Stuttgart, Germany, delivered the opening address, while Conference Co-Chair Professor Petia Radeva of the University of Barcelona, ​​Spain, delivered the program address. Local Conference Chair Professor Antoun Yaacoub of the IAE School of Management, University of Poitiers, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and guests, wishing the conference a resounding success.

Professor Arie den Boef of Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Professor Vittorio Murino of the Italian Institute of Technology, Professor Eberhard Manske of the Ilmenau University of Technology, Professor Ehrenfried Zschech of the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, Professor Jeff Kuhn of the University of Hawaii, Professor Pietro Ferraro of the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems (Campi Flegrei Campus), and Professor Peng Gao of Xidian University delivered a series of keynote presentations.

The conference program featured a total of 13 oral presentations and one poster session. Engaging presentations were delivered across various fields, including image modeling and computational methods, intelligent image detection models and algorithms, image and pattern recognition, image classification and algorithms, feature analysis and image segmentation, digital image understanding and imaging technologies, as well as machine vision and visualization. During the conference, 13 "Best Oral Presentation" awards and one "Best Poster Presentation" award were selected. Additionally, the joint conference awards—including the "Best Reviewer" and "Best Contribution" awards—were presented during the ceremony. Congratulations to the following award recipients!
